MockTest: Sleep [txt]

Sleepers

Sleeper is a relative term and all my
"sleepers" are well known players
including Jahvid
Best
despite being
a rookie. These may be considered
value picks more then sleepers.

Jay Cutler
Despite his personality and visible
frustration during the course of last
season, Cutler ended up with above
average fantasy points. Even if you
take a point off per interception,
his numbers still put him in the top-12
quarterbacks from 2009.

So let's recap. Cutler had a "horrible"
2009 season and still ended up a
top-12 QB. He now has arguably one
of the best offensive coordinators to
help him improve. And the Bears have
adopted a west coast style offensive
system. So I ask, is it such a reach
to expect Cutler to product even
better numbers in 2010? Maybe even
be a top-10 fantasy QB? I realize the
wideouts are not necessarily household
names but they do have another
year of experience and were showing
improvement in the second have of last
season. And let us not forget the
addition of RB Chester Taylor
who is an excellent receiver.

Jemichael Finley
If you project Finley's second half
2009 stats over a full season, you end
up with a top-2 tight end performance.
Yes, I realize this is dangerous
to do. But it does show his potential
which is important to evaluate
and understand. There seems to be a
bit more depth at the top of the tight
end rankings and if you are not willing
to invest a high pick on a tight
end, Finley has a chance to be a
great value pick later in the draft.

Jahvid Best
Despite the concern over Best's injury history in college, it appears the Lions will give him every chance to play from the get go. He has an excellent chance at being their starting running back. This is exasperated by the recovery time-table of Kevin Smith.
